FAQs

A liquid rhinoplasty uses dermal fillers to camouflage minor bumps or add volume. It is temporary (lasting 6-12 months) and cannot reduce nose size or correct functional issues. Surgical rhinoplasty is permanent and addresses both form and function.

Rhinoplasty results are considered permanent. While your nose will continue to age naturally with the rest of your face, the new structural shape is lasting.

Absolutely. A functional rhinoplasty, often combined with a septoplasty, is specifically designed to correct a deviated septum and open the nasal airways to improve breathing.

A mini-facelift is a less invasive procedure with shorter incisions, ideal for patients with earlier signs of aging, primarily in the jowls and lower face. A full facelift addresses more significant sagging in the mid-face, jowls, and neck. Dr. Goldberg will recommend the best option for you during your consultation.

A facelift is excellent for addressing sagging skin, deep folds, and jowls. For finer lines and wrinkles, especially around the eyes and mouth, Dr. Goldberg often recommends combining a facelift with other treatments like laser skin resurfacing, a brow lift, or eyelid surgery for a fully comprehensive rejuvenation.

This is a common fear, but it is the hallmark of an outdated technique. Dr. Goldberg’s modern approach focuses on lifting and supporting the underlying structures, not just pulling the skin tight. The goal is a refreshed, natural appearance where you still look like you, only more rested and youthful.

A facelift primarily addresses the mid-face (cheeks, nasolabial folds) and jowls, while a neck lift focuses exclusively on the area below the jawline, including the double chin, neck bands, and loose neck skin. They are often performed together for a fully harmonious facial rejuvenation.

Yes, absolutely. A neck lift directly addresses a double chin by removing the stubborn fat through liposuction and/or excision, while also tightening the skin and muscles to create a smooth, contoured transition from the chin to the neck.

Blepharoplasty primarily addresses excess skin and fat pockets. While it can improve the lower lid area, it is not designed for the fine wrinkles at the corners of the eyes (crow's feet) or for dark circles caused by pigmentation. These are often best treated with complementary procedures like Botox, laser resurfacing, or fillers, which can be discussed during your consultation.

Dr. Goldberg is a master at placing incisions in the natural anatomy of the eyelid. Upper eyelid incisions are hidden in the crease, and lower eyelid incisions are often placed inside the lid or just below the lash line. With proper care, these incisions typically heal into thin, barely perceptible lines.

This is a critical distinction. A brow lift addresses the brow and forehead—it elevates a low brow and smooths forehead wrinkles. Blepharoplasty addresses the eyelids themselves—it removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower lids. Often, the two procedures are performed together for a completely rejuvenated eye area, as a low brow can contribute to upper eyelid heaviness.

With an endoscopic brow lift, the small incisions are placed entirely within the hairline, making them virtually undetectable once healed. With a temporal lift, incisions are also within the hairline. Dr. Goldberg takes great care to ensure scars are minimal and well-concealed.
